YY1 TripEdvisors - MTR Academy Adventures

15 students from F5 and F4 braved the cold and rainy weather on 14 December, 2022, to Kowloon Bay to get a glimpse of how our Hong Kong’s MTR railway operators are trained. Accompanied by Ms Yeung Wai Fan and Ms Yeo Shua Hoon, the students were briefed on the history of MTR development in Hong Kong and management systems in their daily operation.

 

The most exciting parts were the Virtual Reality (VR) Cave experience where students practised handling crisis cases, Cab Simulator where students got a taste of how to steer a train to the next station and Mixed Reality where they could visit parts of the railway not opened to the public. Equally attractive was the breathtaking view from the 43rd floor of the Manhattan Place and their hot cocos – definitely a special treat for our enthusiastic and keen learners from YY1.
