S1 Readers' Theatre Contest
Coming to the end of the school term, all S1 students gathered at the lecture hall to showcase their speaking and performing skills in readers’ theatre performances.
The S1 school-based language arts curriculum aims at improving students’ language skills through the teaching of reading, phonics, and drama. Throughout the program, students follow 12 adventure stories in the Magic Belt Series and engage in a wide array of fun learning activities. Our Form 1 students have developed their skills in language arts.
To celebrate their progress, they participated in Reader’s Theatre. In the contest, each class performed a book of their choice and competed for different prizes. Everyone tried their best to impress the audience by incorporating different props, sounds, and dramatic effects into their shows.
Their hard work paid off, and the event was a great success! It was a truly unforgettable afternoon for both the performers and the viewers. Students’ enthusiasm and creativity were evident in their performances.
